Mini-Rant: "Are We There Yet?

It has come to my attention that some folks feel a bit bound up on Comorro Station and that they'd be happier if they could just get off-station every once in a while for an adventure. Apparently, there are some folks who don't bother logging in because they think it's pointless. Where can they go? What can they do? There's just this ONE grid! OHMYGODTHEWALLS, THEY'RECLOSINGIN!

If you're one of these people, I say: Take a breath and relax.

Although the main grid is limited to Comorro Station and the ships docked there, it isn't like we want you to stay on the station all the time. Some player groups already get this: Zero Gravitas went on a scavenging run to Rigor Strand and came back with two story arc hooks (but never OOCly left the Comorro docking hub), Jest's crew has been out and about, Tharsis has done some roaming.

You might be thinking: "OMG, FAVORITEZ!" And you'd be precisely wrong. The players in charge of the crews on these vessels posted +strs asking for off-station adventures and we provided them. It's about that simple.

I can't guarantee that you can ask *tonight* for a big adventure, but you can post the +str, get an answer, and probably have something going within a week.

Having stuff to do, in this bold new environment of OtherSpace, is largely in your hands. We're here to facilitate, but it has been expressed time and again that players prefer their own inspired activities rather than a constant flurry of staff-driven events. OS will continue to have admin-crafted storylines, but day-to-day - that's up to you, the players.

Bored? Restless? Do something about it!
